Haiti Disaster
Pray for Haitians.
Donations are Needed.
Tuesday, January 12, 2010, the catastrophic 7.0 earthquake in Port-au-Prince, Haiti has devastated many lives. The magnitude of this disaster is staggering. The reports continue to surface of hospitals, schools, businesses and homes destroyed. Haiti’s President Rene Preval told the Miami Herald that he believes thousands are dead. News crews, now in Haiti, confirm the high numbers of dead, injured and still missing. The high death count and handicaps to move them, hot weather, lack of clean water, food, and medical aid brings the high threat of diseases. Reports now estimate 3 million of Haiti’s 9 million people are in need of aid. Recovery is going to take prayer, time and money. Helping Orphans and Widows is not equipped to go and physically assist this tremendous need. We are equipped to pray and provide some funding for an established agency, World Vision, there in Haiti fighting the battle to save lives.
If you care to help relief efforts with us, give directly to World Vision at www.WorldVision.org
Prayers and Donations Will Make Enormous Differences in Haitian Lives.
