Martin Luther King Jr. - Day of Service
City of Lancaster, CA.
Volunteers with Helping Orphans and Widows teamed with many businesses, schools, churches, clubs and volunteers on January 16, 2010, on cleanup and improvement projects within the City of Lancaster.
"Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve." - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This was the rallying point City leaders used to remind people how valuable they are to the success of a community.
There were many, many projects available for volunteers to work on. The Prime Desert Woodland Preserve was assigned to the H.O.W. volunteers.
The efforts of the volunteers was a tremendous contribution to the successful results of this wonderful day. Simple acts of service can make a difference in the reflection of community kindness.
This team was great. It was good working with them.
Thank you Team !
