The Medical Team - An effort to reach people in need, in remote mountain communities, was accomplished by establishing a temporary facility in a school house and churches, then opening the doors to everyone.   Doctors and nurses from the Nicaragua Christian Doctors Association and Dr. Gabriela Castillo of Costa Rica joined doctors, nurses and volunteers from the U.S.A. to work with H.O.W. to meet the many needs encountered.

Jinotega, Nicaragua  Medical services to communities of Tierra Caliente and Chaguite Grande and Bello Amanecer were provided.  One community had never received "out of the area" aid of any kind from any organization.  This was a first.  H.O.W. was honored to share with them our talents that day.

This one week operation included medical, dental, and optical services free of charge to the communities.  The Lions Club provided eyeglasses toward this effort.

H.O.W. provided the pharmaceuticals from the U.S.A. by funds donated.  It was received as a total blessing by the people served.  Thank you.  Parasites, dental decay, fungus infections are common issues in these areas.

Ministry was made available to each person and 147 people accepted Jesus as Lord in his or her life as the medical team worked on the physical needs.
