Sandino, Nicaragua
H.O.W. provided food and
household items to widows in the community of Sandino, Nicaragua.

There were
many elderly women noticed in this poor area while medical services were
being provided to the community. An effort to reach widows in need of
food and basic household items was then added on the agenda. A local
area pastor was recruited to locate widows in the area that didn't have
a church home to assist them. Pastor Dagoberto Carrion made contact
with 80 widows and provided his church as a distribution point for
H.O.W. to distribute the food baskets and household items. The widows
appreciated the assistance with food and household items. The
added opportunity to meet and become friends with people of a local
church was very good. |
